Teen President's Message

2016 17PresidentGreetings on behalf of myself, and the entire Sacramento Teen Group of Jack and Jill of America, Inc.

For over 77 years, Jack and Jill of America has been making a difference in the lives of children and their families. Here in the Sacramento Teen Group we strive to improve the quality and character of ourselves, and those that we come in contact with through leadership, community service, cultural awareness, as well as social activities.

I am honored to serve as the 2016-2017 Teen President. I am a senior at Christian Brothers High School where I serve as the Student Body President and Black Student Union President. I have been an active member of Jack and Jill for 14 years. I started my journey in Group 1, where I began building life-long friendships and family ties with my peers and the Mothers of the Sacramento Chapter. I strongly value the close bonds I have formed and the leadership training and opportunities available to Jack and Jill Teens. I have held office within the teen group for the last two years as Community Service Chair and Vice President. As the Teen President for this year, I will strive to continue the legacy of service and community building that has been a priority in this chapter since its beginning. I also want to make sure that every Teen in the chapter feels the commitment and excitement of living out our motto. Please join with me and our incredible teen group as we Work, Play, and Live Together to make 2016-2017 our best year yet.

"To us as mothers, it [Jack and Jill] has become a means of furthering an inherent and natural desire …to bestow upon our children all the opportunities possible for a normal and graceful approach to a beautiful adulthood."
