Fathers' Auxiliary

MISSION: Jack and Jill of America, Inc. is a membership organization of mothers with children ages 2-19, dedicated to nurturing future African-American leaders by strengthening children through leadership development, volunteer service, philanthropic giving and civic duty.

The Fathers' Auxiliary is a standing Committee of the national organization -- Jack and Jill of America, Inc. Its principal responsibilities are to:

  • Address past, present and future issues regarding the Fathers' Auxiliary
  • Improve the participation amongst the fathers at the local level
  • Strengthen communication at the national, regional and local levels
  • Recommend changes in the bylaws to reflect current and future direction.

On the local level, the Fathers' Auxiliary serves in support of the local Jack and Jill of America Inc. Chapter according to the needs of the Sacramento Chapter and its officers. Several past and ongoing activities that the fathers have supported are:

  • Planning children age-group activities
  • Organizing Family Day Picnics
  • Organizing ski trips
  • Teen Conference chaperons and night security
  • Helping the Teens with their conference scrapbooks, plays and oratorical competitions.
